All doorjambs seem to have excessive wear and tear. There is some dry rot on the exterior door jambs. The frames for the security screens seem damaged. The driveway exterior door has some damage. The interior bedroom doors have mild to moderate damage; the bathroom door has major damage.
The heater is rusted and looks like animals urinated on it. The thermostat for the wall heater is damaged. The heater has been unused for years since the propane company removed the tank and meters.
The thermostat for the propane heater that was removed and replaced with a wood burning stove by Alex M., is completely damaged.
One of the kitchen windows has a long crack in it. The crack was from damage Stacy did, but it got worse with repeated door slamming since September 2025. The window has a cardboard taped over the window on the outside, but it is beginning to mold.
The bathroom window appears mostly fine from outside but the frame and frame is moldy on the inside.
The living room window frame and sill has black mold. Possibly all windows do.
One of the south bedroom windows is completely gone. It had strips of tape completely covering the window, but they were starting to separate. After February 2nd we taped a tarp over the window and have made sure it stayed in place through the recent weather events.
All window coverings show powdery white mildew and a few the beginnings of black mold.
The north bedroom has a few spots on the wall that are grime or possibly mold.
The bathroom needs the most repairs. The holding tank for the toilet is black. There is water damage to the bottom of the bathroom sink cabinet. There is a fair bit of black mold to tile of the shower. There is black mold on the window sill and frame of the bathroom window. There is black mold on the ceiling at the edge of the exterior wall over the tub by the bathroom window. There are extensive rust stains on the tub from a running faucet. The tub faucet is leaking hot water. The water heater has been turned off. It has reduced but not eliminated the leak. (There is no separate shut off for the water to each unit. Shutting of the water to the building shuts it off for both units.) The fan in the bathroom is damaged or broken, it makes a sound when the light is turned on. The bathroom door has the skin on the front and back of the door separating. It is hard to tell if it was partially painted or has mold/mildew, probably both.
There were piles of dirt and debris swept together in each room, but not picked up. There were several full trash containers, plus a few large full trash bags left in the kitchen. The trash and recycling bins were full outside and have since been reclaimed by the trash company.
The refrigerator had food left in it and was not cleaned. Some spots show usual use, but a few spots have caked on dirt and mold (under the crisper drawer, in the bottom of the freezer, under the refrigerator). A part of the left refrigerator door has been damaged and it makes closing the doors complicated. There is a part that pivots to allow the doors to opened separately, it is broken at the top. It is unknown at this time if the part can be repaired or replaced. It it can’t be the refrigerator may have to be replaced as the average person couldn’t do the complicated process to hold the pieces together so the door can close.
The pipe to the hose bib from the concrete and into the house on the north side is discolored and weeping. The board to the crawl space behind it has dry rot.
The security light has wear and tear but should be replaced.
The viewcut fence that was in front of the propane tank is falling down.
The fence along the culvert parallel to the road is sagging and leaning towards the culvert in the middle.
The gutter has weeds growing in it and the roof has a dip near the gutter edge.
The stove pipe has lichen growing on it, and is discolored near the flashing.
There is a hole in the ground by the gate with a traffic cone in it but grass is covering it and someone may step or fall in it.
Several containers in front and the side and back yard are holding water. There is a tire in the back yard and pile in the front yard some of which are holding water.
